Job Description:
The Lead Group Manager, Finance oversees a team of Business Finance professionals that provide strategic financial analysis, insights, decision support, and reporting results to various internal and external stakeholders.
Depth & Scope:
- Oversees a team of Finance professionals for key business segments or a significantly large part of the organization
- Requires in-depth shareholder and/or broad financial and business perspective
- Scope may include integration of activities and Finance support for several key business lines
- Focuses on longer-range issues dealing with complex financial management issues
- Primary interface and high-level resource to Business leaders on financial performance measures/business objectives/goals
- Integrates knowledge of the enterprise function’s strategy in leading program design or operating standards
- Anticipates emerging business trends and regulatory/risk issues
- Understands industry and competitive trends
- Solves unique and ambiguous problems that impact the business segment
- Develops and manages a team of Finance professionals
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree; graduate degree preferred
- 15+ years of relevant experience
- Accounting or financial designation preferred
- People Management experience
- Superior partnership skills
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
- Ability to make an impact and achieve results
- Skill in leading change management strategies
Customer Accountabilities:
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal Finance partners
- Effectively communicates recommendations on finance management issues
- Ensures team collaboration with partners on business problems/issues
- Liaises with internal/external auditors/regulators
- Acts as a seasoned expert providing guidance/advice
- Contributes to analysis and execution of business restructures
- Develops and assesses complex business cases/new initiatives
- Manages client requests for finance support and/or reports
- Provides strategic support through assigned teams
- Participates on internal/external committees
- Thinks beyond the organization when setting direction
Shareholder Accountabilities:
- Plans resources and executes on strategic activities
- Leads execution on the annual business plan
- Manages overall budget, revenue, and expenditures
