What we are looking for: The successful candidate is an analytical thinking problem solver and have experience and knowledge with Governmental Contracting. As the financial manager for assigned programs/ Business Unit and a small team the candidate will report to Director Finance. In close collaboration with the Program Management and Director Business Unit the target is the successful management of the programs/ Business Unit. Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Directing and performing project controlling, forecasting and budgeting in a U.S. Government Contracting environment for assigned project/ Business Unit.
- Collaborate with PM / Director Business Unit in developing and managing project schedules, budgets, forecasts.
- Direct and perform the implementation of project control to establish, monitor and report project KPIs, revenue, billing and deliverables.
- Identify trends and developments, report them to key management, conduct analyses as needed to support operational decision making and improve profitability.
- Compiling monthly reports and analysis on project progress, financials, updated forecast to manage ETC and EAC
- Responsible for reconciling, reviewing, and keeping accurate the project financial and accounting data to improve the data quality and support smooth financial procedures.
- Identifying risks and implementing & monitoring corrective actions to ensure project delivery on time & within budget.
- Preparation and submittal of monthly program invoicing.
- Supporting project team in resource management and allocation.
- Participating in project meetings and contributing to decision-making processes.
- Forecast and management of program cash flows.
- Creates financial models to support strategical decision making.
- Develop and enhance project and financial reporting tools and procedures to increase efficiency.
- Management of subcontractor invoicing and planning
- Overseeing EVM (Earned Value Management) Reporting on the program.
- Management and supervising a small Finance team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s / master’s degree in finance, economics, business management and 8-15 years of relevant experience
- Experience in the U.S. Government Contracting and preferably in Technology (Project Business) Environment
- Program Finance Cost Control experience
- Knowledge of Financial Planning and Analysis of business procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (is a must) and strong skills with Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and their application to the program including EVMS Metrics and reporting is a plus
- Familiarity with reporting, business Intelligence tooling, database/ warehouse skills and analysis tools (SQL, Excel, SAP, Deltek, Cobra or similar)
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize, being able to work under pressure and deal with deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, and dynamic team environment.
- Strong desire to process, tooling improvement.
