A day in the life of a Program Nurse (RN) can look like:
- Lead, manage, and collaborate with a small, interdisciplinary team focused on quality patient care and providing services ordered by a physician.
- Energetically lead, implement, and deliver community education material to facility staff, local medical facilities, community members on the program, and the overall importance of behavioral health.
- Ensure implementation of compliant therapeutic services for patients utilizing the program’s group, individual, and family therapy sessions.
- As Program Nurse, provide and oversee excellent patient care, including intake assessments, fall assessments, and treatment plan development.
- Work with kindness and accountability to enhance the quality of life for our patients.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse or LVN licensed in the state of practice required.
- Graduation from a state-approved school of nursing required.
- Associates degree or above required.
- Psychiatric Nursing experience preferred.
- Passion for working with Older Adults preferred.
Working Conditions
Incumbent will be exposed to virus, disease, infection from patients.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position required intermittent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching as well as lifting, driving and supporting patients.

Founded in 2003, Psychiatric Medical Care manages more than 65 Senior Life Solutions programs across the U.S. Senior Life Solutions is an intensive outpatient behavioral healthcare program designed to meet the needs of adults over the age of 65 who are struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety often related to aging. Patients are offered services by an interdisciplinary team of caring, experienced, behavioral health professionals, which includes a psychiatrist, licensed therapist, and registered nurse.
