Functional Family Therapist (FFT) provides evidence-based intervention for youth and their families. This high-quality, strength-focused family counseling model is designed primarily for at-risk youth who have been referred by ACS. Services are conducted in home settings and can also be provided in schools and child welfare facilities. Flexible schedule including some nights and weekends, depending on needs of the client.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessment including review of referral information, identifying, and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and developing an analysis of the fit problem behaviors within the ecological context.
- Engage primary caregivers and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
- Implement problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, outcome review and strategy revision procedure using the models Analytic Process.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with model Analytic Process.
- Collaborate with all relevant systems and key participants within each system to ensure their buy-in and cooperation throughout treatment.
- Participate in all model program training, supervision, and consultation activities.
- Provide home-based clinical treatment.
Travel requirements may include travel from Rising Ground sites and various locations, including home-based clinical treatments and school visits. Work-related travel expenses will be reimbursed by agency.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited university in a field that has professional licensure. The field includes, but is not limited to, the following disciplines: Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, and Psychology.
- Clinical experience and experience with evidence-based models preferred.
- Good written and oral communication skills; computer literate.
- Experience in child welfare field strongly preferred.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner while managing competing priorities.
- Bilingual preferred, (preferably Spanish, French/Creole) to conduct case management for our families.
- Proficient use of Microsoft applications; knowledge of PROMIS/CNNX desired. Cultural awareness and sensitivity when serving clients that come from different backgrounds and walks of life.
Annual Salary: $70,000
