RDP Foodservice, a leading family-owned distributor of high-quality food products and services, is dedicated to enhancing the quality, productivity, and experience of restaurateurs. As we grow into one of the region's largest independent broadline distributors, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Consultant in Cincinnati, OH.
As a Sales Consultant, you will drive sales growth and profitability by maintaining strong relationships with our existing customers and developing new business in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas.
SALES CONSULTANT ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Maintain existing customer base to ensure high levels of satisfaction by identifying opportunities to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive sales growth within the assigned territory.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Conduct regular visits to customers and prospects to assess their needs and offer product and service solutions.
- Reduce accounts receivable challenges by monitoring accounts for compliance with credit terms and following up on any issues with the credit department.
- Achieve sales and profit margin goals.
- Track sales activity and provide regular reports on performance and market trends.
- Maintain awareness of pricing trends to ensure competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to develop strategies that attract new customers.
- Participate in the onboarding of new accounts with purchasing and operations to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for the customer.
- Support the food show attendance and success.
- Attend sales meetings, food shows, and vendor, marketing, and industry events to network with prospective customers.
SALES CONSULTANT QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferably a four-year degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field.
- 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the food industry.
- Proven success with closing sales.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Self-motivated with effective time management skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work independently with little direction.
- Ability to develop and deliver professional and results-driven customer presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
- Ability to travel and have a clean driving record.
WORK SCHEDULE: Requires significant local travel and may require working some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the customer's needs.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE: Base Salary and potential for Commission, bonuses, and car allowance.
