Vested HR is a growing human resource partner for small to mid-sized businesses through our Professional Employer Organization ( “PEO” ) service model. We have assembled a team of diverse, smart, successful, and seasoned professionals who have personally experienced and believe in the importance of a PEO to businesses and the community.
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a positive, inquisitive HR Generalist, who has experience in handling a wide range of human resources tasks to help our Clients with streamlining processes, assist with compliance with local, state, and federal laws, and problem solving. Someone who will take HR responsibilities and duties off of management’s plate while ensuring that our Client’s HR needs are addressed efficiently and smoothly as directed/requested. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, have a strong customer service mindset, must have excellent attention to detail, is able to work independently with little or no supervision, and enjoys the challenges of supporting our company’s diverse Client base.
This is not a Remote Position.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Manage and update employee records and HR databases to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Create Employee Handbooks
- Policy development and training
- Conduct Client HR & Compliance related webinars
- Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA") guidance which includes wage and hour compliance
- Applicant Tracking
- Performance Management
- Set-up and facilitate Background Screenings and Assessments
- EEO-1 Reporting
- Compliance assistance with local, state, and federal labor laws
- Assist Clients with employee relations issues, including conducting investigations, conflict resolution, and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives, such as implementing new HR programs, conducting training sessions, and updating HR policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on HR laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risk for the organization.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in HR, preferably as an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification
- PEO experience preferred
