To be successful in this role you will:
- Provide services to individuals with intellectual and developmental special needs.
- Responsible to carry out prescribed individual service plans not limited to daily living activities, transportation, ambulatory and non-ambulatory services, monitoring/ administering medication. These services may be provided either in the community, at facilities or, in homes in support of achieving service recipient’s goals.
- Deliver quality services and builds strong customer relations with internal and external stakeholders making Easterseals New Jersey the service provider of choice.
- This position requires flexibility to work in multiple locations within the specified county and perform necessary work assignments that will accommodate the needs of the service recipients.
Skills & Qualifications you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience that demonstrates the ability to provide direct assistance to individuals with disabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication utilizing the English language.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, persons receiving services, and the general public.
- Valid drivers’ license and a good driving record is required.
- Ability to perform basic computer functions, including documentation in an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
