Registration Specialist – TEMP POSITION – HURRICANE SUPPORT

Job Overview:
The Registration Specialist functions as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team. Ensures that all shelter residents are greeted and registered upon arrival. Maintain a system for checking residents in and out when they leave for any period. Manage the system of record keeping for shelter registrations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Pass a level 1 background check.
- Staff must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in the social services and/or health care fields and must have the following abilities:
- Able to follow procedures and job tools including reporting requirements.
- Able to acquire, evaluate, and report information accurately.
- Able to participate and contribute to regular meetings.
- Able to interact with the community in a clear, compassionate manner, respectful of diversity and unique needs.
- Must have active listening skills.
- Must have good organizational skills and be accountable.
- Able to involve appropriate others in managing problems and conflict.
- Able to work well with others.
- Able to function in a dynamic and stressful environment with little or no supervision, adapting to change, negotiating compromise, and tolerating ambiguity.
- Able to stand and/or sit for two-hour periods.
- Able to speak clearly on the phone and in person.
- Able to work outdoors in inclement weather, extreme heat and/or humidity.
- Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform assigned tasks/be drug-free.
Pay Rate: $41.00/hr.
Each applicant interested in supporting in Louisiana will need to deploy and arrive at the designated site within 24 to 48 hours from the time of notice. Each applicant will need to complete their onboarding packet. It is uncertain as to the locations where personnel will be needed but will be located at a staging area established by the Department of Children and Family Services Deployments or other State agencies in various regions of the state.
