What We Are Looking For
The Assistant Director of Clinical Services supports the University mission through several avenues: It provides leadership for BUCC through participation on the Leadership Team and administrative supervision for staff. The position provides vision, strategy and implementation of efficient and effective daily operations, especially at Dutton location. The Assistant Director of Clinical Services provides direct and indirect mental health related services to Baylor students and BUCC trainees. By fostering the healthy functioning of BUCC and the training program, as well as providing direct service to students, this position fosters mental health and wholeness for BU students and trainees.
A Master’s degree and three years of relevant work experience are required. A Doctoral degree and five years of relevant work experience are preferred.
A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
- Oversee daily clinical operations, especially at Dutton location
- Manage data collection and analysis
- Support clinical staff to ensure effective service delivery and compliance
- Coordinate schedules, running reports, handling client and staff feedback, and assisting with strategic planning and working with key stakeholders such as Care Team and BUPD
- Support and collaborate closely with the Associate Director of Clinical Operations and other team members to enhance clinical practices and address emerging issues
- Provide initial appointment visits, individual, couples and group therapy, crisis intervention, consultation, case management and appropriate referrals as needed
- Supervise mental health trainees
- Maintain adequate counseling records and files, including for supervision provided
- Provide and communicate clinical policies and procedures for students and staff
- Membership and service in local, state, and/or national organizations in the field of mental health
- Continue development of clinical and leadership skills appropriate to the position
- Participate in staff wide trainings and case consultations

- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with university policies
