Patient Advocate, Clinical Analyst
As the Patient Advocate, incumbent is available to both in-patients and out-patients to respond to any concerns, problems, or grievances regarding customer service, patient’s rights, and belongings.
As the Clinical Analyst, this position provides continual education to facility employees and physicians, problem tracking, resolution, on-going enhancement requests; active participation in system testing, workflow redesign, change management. In addition, the incumbent will assist the PI department in collections, and inputting clinical outcomes for quality assurance and performance improvement.
QualificationsEducation/Training/Licensure:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent.
- CPR certification.
Experience:
- A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in a psychiatric health-care facility training mentally ill, or chemically dependent patients, with understanding of co-occurring disorders, and Cultural Linguistic Diversity amongst patients.
Additional Requirements:
- Must possess strong leadership and teaching abilities.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal reports. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors. Must be computer literate in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Nursing Skills: Ability to pass oral medications, administration of IM, SQ, Z-track, TB-testing, obtain Vital signs, Oxygen administration, utilization of Accu-Check Glucometer, Breathalyzer, UDS testing, UCG testing, ECG machine, assist with all patient’s Activities of Daily Living.
- Sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices.
