Summary:
Accepts responsibility for the overall resident care and staffing. Policy and procedures are implemented which result in efficient and effective operation of the facility. Standards of Long Term Care are met through involvement in the quality assurance process. Assists with evaluation and supports the employee development and training process. Responds appropriately during emergency situations. Provides a clean and safe environment for residents and staff. Consistently demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information / assess residents' needs. Implements the plan of care directed by the physician. Able to communicate with other healthcare providers information pertinent to continuity of care. Supervises care given by staff. Assesses care given for effectiveness and documents appropriately. Plans and implements care given to the entire population. Is consistent, fair, and a role model for others. Acquires and maintains current knowledge and competency in nursing practice. Maintains a professional image. Reports to the Director of Nursing as instructed to ensure standards of care are met.
Assists the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing all functions of Nursing Services. Assumes sole responsibility in the Director of Nursing's absence, performs admissions, care planning, and discharging of residents. Functions as Director of Nursing in their absence.
Other Information:
Arkansas state RN license in good standing. Long Term Care experience preferred. Able to work with the Geriatric population and their families. Communicates clearly verbally and in written form. Problem solves, prioritizes, and directs others appropriately. Fosters teamwork and participates in team building. Displays enthusiasm for serving others and respects diversity. Honest, trustworthy, respectful, dedicated, flexible, loyal, and dependable.
This job will be authorized for 40.00 hours bi-weekly.
