We are a mental health intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization treatment center focused on teenagers. Position Overview:
As a bilingual therapist at AWA, you will play a crucial role in the treatment team, providing individual and group therapy to clients in both English and Spanish.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and family therapy to an assigned caseload of clients.
- Conduct group therapy, biopsychosocial assessments, screenings, and assist in the admissions process.
- Formulate individualized treatment plans using a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches.
- Participate in daily clinical meetings.
- Document all patient-related care in the patient electronic record in a timely manner.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, families, agencies, and referents.
- Ensure treatment documentation meets agency and professional standards per DCF and Joint Commission.
- Maintain professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Clinician (LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT) or Registered Intern in the state of Florida.
- +2 years of experience working with adolescent individuals with a mental health diagnosis.
- Experience in group facilitation and working with multidisciplinary team.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- Well-versed in a variety of evidence-based modalities (e.g. DBT, CBT, MI).
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with EMRs, LOCUS, ASAM, DCF, and Joint Commission.
- Level 2 Background Check and Drug Test required.
