Overview:
The Johns Hopkins Hospital Division of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary health team, providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients in an outpatient practice. In this role, you will manage patients in a GYN and OB clinic, ensuring high-quality care and support.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for gynecological and obstetric patients, including prenatal and postpartum visits.
- Perform physical examinations, including GYN exams, and conduct diagnostic studies (e.g., labs, ultrasounds).
- Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide education and counseling to patients.
- Document patient encounters accurately, including history, assessments, and follow-up plans.
- Coordinate referrals for complex cases and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in quality assurance programs and contribute to departmental initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner and Maryland NP license.
- 2+ years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking abilities.
