Description
History:
Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. Opened in 1949, the hospital was originally located near downtown Stanton. This facility served the community well for many years, but was replaced with a state of the art 18 bed facility in 2012. The new facility is located on I20, and has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Radiology oversees the daily operations, strategic planning and overall management of the radiology department. Provides leadership and direction for all radiology services and manages the radiology team. The Director is responsible for developing and implementing departmental policies, procedures and evidence-based protocols. Develops goals and objectives for the department that align with the mission and vision of the hospital. Collaborates with hospital administration to identify growth opportunities, expand services, and improve patient outcomes. Oversees the scheduling, budgeting, equipment and resources for the department. Supervises departmental personnel and all functions including the department's future growth, creates an operational plan each year and provides reports on the department's progress, along with the individual progress of each employee.
Requirements
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Licenses/Certificates:
- Licensed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, ARRT registration.
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board, MRT registration.
- CPR certification for Health Care Providers.
Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years experience in a medical setting as an ARRT and MRT Registered Technologist.
- Knowledge of all radiologic equipment.
- Supervisory abilities and effective oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in CT required.
