Physician Assistant / Neurology
Join our committed team of healthcare professionals in the vibrant community of Modesto, CA. As a Physician Assistant in Neurology, you will play a pivotal role in providing exemplary care in the field of neurology and general surgery/trauma. Reporting directly to the Physician Assistant Director and under the supervision of our skilled surgeons, you will engage in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tasks. Responsibilities include acting as a first or second assistant in surgery, managing pre-and post-operative care, and ensuring compliance with safety and infection control standards. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to quality assessment and improvement activities while receiving substantial support for ongoing professional development.
Compensation: $200,000 to $240,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits + Paid Relocation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as a first or second assistant in surgery, ensuring precise operational procedures are followed.
- Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tasks related to neurology and trauma care.
- Manage pre-and post-operative care, including patient assessment and recovery monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and infection control standards.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives.
- Participate in educational and training initiatives to maintain and enhance competencies.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- BA or equivalent in a related field.
- Completion of accredited physician assistant program.
- Current CA State Physician Assistant License granted by the Physician Assistant Examining Committee.
- DEA registration required.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in neurology and/or general surgery settings.
- Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency in using medical tools and equipment related to neurology and surgery.
- Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to guidelines and regulations specific to neurology and surgery practices.
