Needs to be able to work multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Performs nebulizer treatments, CPT, ventilator checks, ABGs, assists with intubations, CPR, and other departmental needs.
- Working in ICU, PCU, Floors, ER, Nursery, and ancillary departments. Critical care skills, ACLS, BLS, NRP, Illinois license, and RRT required.
- Administering treatments, performing ventilator checks, ABGs, oxygen therapy, responding to Rapid responses and Code Blues.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of a COARC accredited School for Respiratory Therapy.
- Licensed as an RCP in the state of Illinois.
- RRT Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care for individuals with greater than 6 months’ post-graduation.
- RRT eligible new graduates must obtain the RRT credential within 6 months of hire date.
- BLS Certified from AHA or ARC.
- ACLS Certified from AHA or ARC within 60 days from hire date.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification required for any Charge or Supervisor RT; credential within 6 months of hire date for all others.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certified required for any Charge or Supervisor RT; credential within 6 months of hire date for all others.
