Unit Highlights:
- The PCU Observation Short Stay Unit is a 10-bed observation unit that acts a bridge between the ED and inpatient setting.
- The average patient stays on the unit for 24 hours or less where patients either discharge from the hospital or transfer to an inpatient unit. Our primary focus is on throughput, patient flow and enhancing the patient experience.
- The RN will be responsible for caring for patients up to a PCU Tele level with varied disease processes including chest pain, stroke, pneumonia, heart failure, renal disease and more.
- This is a fast-paced PCU observation environment for the energetic and ambitious healthcare provider.

- AdventHealth Winter Park is a hospital built for the community by the community. The land for the hospital was donated by the city of Winter Park.
- Chartered in 1951, the hospital is a 320-bed acute care facility that is a model of community health and wellness, and a teaching hospital.
- The city of Winter Park is filled with rich heritage and is located just three miles north of Orlando in Orange County.
The role you’ll contribute:
The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age-specific groups. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- Graduate of a school of nursing
- Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Life Support Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirements
- EKG
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Professional Certification
