- Advanced Practice Provider position supporting but not physically located in Durham, NC VAMC.
- This is a remote/telework position.
- 52 weeks with 2 optional 52 week periods.
- Must be credentialed and privileged through Durham VAMC.
Position Summary
The TeleOncology Nurse Practitioner functions as a practitioner, role model, change agent, innovator, teacher, researcher, and consultant to contribute to the development and management of complex oncology patient care in clinical areas and across services in the organization served.

Qualifications
- Graduation from a master’s degree program with specialization as a nurse practitioner accredited by a national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education.
- A minimum of 3 years experience working as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant with primary/specialty Oncology patient population.
- Nurse Practitioner must maintain a current, valid, and unrestricted license from any US jurisdiction.
- Must have current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Must be board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) with preferred certification as Advanced Oncology Certified Practitioner (AOCNP) from Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
- Must demonstrate leadership and accomplishment when providing patient care or developing programs which will improve the delivery of care of the primary/specialty Oncology patient population.
- Must have a specific focus toward the population for “time to treatment” related to Cancer Screening, diagnosis, treatment and follow up surveillance.
