We are seeking a highly motivated and technically adept Robotics Hardware Intern to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in electronics hardware selection, prototyping, assembly, troubleshooting, mechanical engineering fundamentals, and software proficiency. The successful candidate will contribute to various aspects of robotics development, from hardware setup and configuration to troubleshooting technical issues. This role also involves logistics planning, network and connectivity knowledge, and public presentation skills.
Job Title: Robotics Hardware Intern
Internship Duration: 6 months + PPO
Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Engineering: Apply principles of mechanical engineering to create robust and reliable end effector designs. Ensure designs meet performance requirements and adhere to industry standards.
- Prototyping and Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype end effector designs and conduct thorough testing. Analyze test results to iterate and refine designs for optimal performance.
- Material Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate materials for end effector components, considering factors such as strength, weight, and durability. Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- CAD Modeling: Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings of end effector assemblies. Generate accurate documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Manufacturing Support: Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure seamless transition from design to production. Provide guidance and support to resolve any manufacturing challenges or issues that arise.
- Innovation and Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to robotic end effectors. Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve end effector designs for enhanced performance and efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with software engineers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate end effectors into robotic systems. Communicate effectively and contribute to a cohesive team environment.
- Logistics Planning: Participate in logistics planning for robotics projects, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Network and Connectivity: Possess knowledge of network systems and connectivity, contributing to the integration of robotic systems into various environments.
- Public Presentation Skills: Develop and refine public presentation skills to effectively communicate technical concepts and project updates.
- Communication: Collaborate with team members to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively. Provide clear and concise documentation of work performed.
