Background: Roots Through Recovery is a trauma-focused outpatient treatment center for adults and adolescents in Long Beach, CA. We have proudly served the Long Beach community since 2016. We offer dedicated morning and afternoon tracks for primary mental health, primary substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders, provided by an experienced and compassionate clinical team.
Our program integrates EMDR, mindfulness, and other cognitive, process, experiential, and expressive therapies to address unresolved trauma and help clients develop the skills needed to live a healthy, productive, and fulfilling life in recovery.
Job Summary: Roots Through Recovery is seeking a part-time, licensed Clinical Supervisor (LMFT, LCSW or Psy.D) with experience in substance use, mental health, and trauma for our outpatient treatment program in Long Beach, CA. In this role, you will provide supervision and oversight for the adolescent and youth program, review assessments and medical records for potential admissions, conduct utilization reviews, and oversee clinician new hire orientation and training.
Part-time Clinical Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Develop evidence-based treatment programs for adolescents with behavioral health disorders.
- Spearhead the research and development of program curriculum and outcome measures.
- Review pre-admission assessments and medical records for potential admissions.
- Conduct utilization reviews for commercial insurance clients.
- Coordinate program schedules and staffing.
- Review outcome measures to ensure quality care.
- Ensure compliance, timeliness, accuracy, and quality of clinical documentation.
- Carry a clinical caseload.
Position Requirements:
- Master's degree in a behavioral health field.
- Valid and unrestricted LMFT, LCSW, or Psy.D license in California with a minimum of 2 years' post-licensure experience.
- 1+ years of administrative experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with adolescents and substance use disorders.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Experience with Kipu EHR a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.
- Strong people skills and outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
