Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Dermatology team. In this position, you will provide compassionate care and generally increase the patient quality of life. We are a Dermatology Clinic seeking an energetic individual with great customer service skills and a team player. We are willing to train the right person. High levels of flexibility, energy, attention to detail, and problem-solving are required to be successful.
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing clinical support to ensure the efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs and communicating with patients and doctors. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and willing to be an advocate for their patients.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Ensures efficient patient flow by rooming patients in a timely manner and assisting the provider with staying timely on their schedule.
- Interview patients and document basic medical histories.
- Assist during medical examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments.
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience and help patients prepare for their provider visit.
- Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, and review medications.
- Order supplies and stock exam rooms.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, safe, and ready for patient visits.
- Under the direction of a Dr., provider, and/or protocol, provide telephonic support to patients.
- Apply or assist with the application of durable medical equipment.
- Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- US work authorization.
Skills:
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary.
- Preferred fluency in Spanish, Polish, or other languages spoken by people in the communities we serve.
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Social perceptiveness and service-oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, ability to work with limited supervision once trained.
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
- Sales experience a plus.
- Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Part-Time & Full-Time positions available.
Salary: $18 hour (higher pay negotiable based on experience & merit).
Experience: Medical assistant 1 year.
License: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (Preferred but not required).
Work Location: 1 location and upcoming location.
Education: Associate (preferred).
Experience: Medical office: 1 year (preferred).
Shift availability: Day Shift (Required).
Work Setting: Clinic, In-person, Office.
