We are a 3-bed Adult Progressive Care Unit attached to a 32 bed medical surgical unit.
Full or part time schedules are available depending on candidate preference.
4C Inpatient Surgery is a collaborative unit that cares for complex surgical patients, including those undergoing thoracic, vascular, kidney transplant, and general surgery procedures. Our nurse-to-patient ratios are very attractive, and Licensed Nursing Assistants are also part of our collaborative team.
As a member of the 4C team, you will assess, plan, organize, provide, and evaluate nursing care utilizing the nursing process. You will make nursing judgments and decisions and will be responsible for nursing care and documentation. We use a shared (team/self) scheduling model to coordinate schedules which include 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
- Utilizes critical thinking and the nursing process to anticipate and recognize changes in patient status, taking action to modify the plan of care or to elevate to the care team as necessary.
- Practices in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics to advocate for patients, uphold their autonomy in decision-making, ensure informed consent, and assist patients and families in expressing self-determination.

- Precepts the student nurse, nurse extern, nurse resident, experienced clinical nurse, and other members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) with 1 year of experience.
- Associate Degree (ADN) prepared nurses with 2 years’ experience.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required upon hire and as applicable, higher level per unit certification requirements as stated on the grid attached to the AHA and Life Support Policy.
- ACLS Certificate required upon hire in Endoscopy, Tele-ICU, Day Surgery Center at CGP (Manchester), Life Safety, and Cardiology-Echocardiography.
