Postdoctoral Fellow, Circadian and Sleep Biology
One to two postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Fred Turek in the Neurobiology Department and the Center for Sleep and Circadian Biology (CSCB) at Northwestern University. The research focuses for new fellows will include:
- Sleep and/or circadian rhythms in mouse models of Alzheimer’s Disease and Parkinson’s Disease.
- Interactions between the murine gut microbiome and host physiology (including sleep and circadian rhythms) during spaceflight.
In-depth knowledge of sleep and circadian rhythms is not required; experience in Computational and Systems Biology is a plus.
