GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for participating in and leading the scheduled specialty groups. Specialty groups may include relaxation training, sexuality awareness, social skills, recreational groups, etc., and any other groups identified in the STP.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Conduct scheduled and assigned groups.
- Plan, coordinate, implement and revise specific group content.
- Develop specific lesson plans for groups and maintain a library of such lesson plans for future use.
- Record resident attendance participation in the groups in the weekly program attendance record.
- Provide 1:1 counseling as scheduled and as needed and document results in the attendance record or medical record.
- Provide crisis intervention counseling and support as needed and document the results in the medical record.
- Understand and follow safety and sanitation rules, and promptly report any violations to supervisor. Adhere to facility dress code.
- Attend and participate in orientation and in-service training as required by the State. Attend facility in-services as required.
- Promote positive relationships with residents, visitors, and government regulators.
- Must attend weekly in-services as required by the STP and any other training required by the facility.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Must adhere to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics policy including documentation and reporting responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & BEHAVIORS
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information.
- Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with residents, families, and other employees at all levels.
