Job Description: Full Time California Licensed Clinician

We are opening up full-time positions for Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists to join our team in Fremont, California! Telehealth options allow flexibility for both clients and employees of Ocean Psychiatry Inc. Our unique niche is our collaborative approach of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and psychotherapists working together under the same roof to provide excellent moment by moment continuity of care. In addition to outpatient psychotherapy and medication management, our private mental health practice facilitates TMS and Spravato treatments on site for medication resistant clients with depression. The team holds weekly clinical rounds, multiple opportunities for training and consultations, and an eclectic mix of practitioners with unique training backgrounds adding to the milieu of multicultural and diverse evidenced based care techniques.
Part-time candidates will be considered with a minimum of 20 direct session hours per week.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure Ocean Psychiatry Inc's mission, purpose, and values are demonstrated via telehealth services.
- Establish and maintain effective therapeutic alliances with clients.
- Provide initial and on-going assessment and treatment plans (with updates) for psychological disorders, substance use disorders, and psycho-social problems.
- Support clients in identifying their needs, setting goals, and developing structured plans for achieving their goals.
- Provide individual psychotherapy utilizing evidence based techniques.
- Provide care management, crisis intervention and support to clients.
- Exercising clear and productive communication, and conflict resolution as needed with medication managers and other team members.
- Provide clients with safe and effective care in accordance with established policies, best practice procedures, and high standards of care.
- Thoroughly document all clients’ notes and treatment plans in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with medication managers for shared clients to maximize multi-modal treatment, observing and reporting symptoms while medication managers are titrating medications to their optimal levels.
Requirements:
- A Master's Degree in Social Work or Psychology from an accredited graduate school, and an unencumbered California license registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- A PhD or PsyD in Psychology and an active license as a clinical psychologist in California if applying for a psychologist position.
- Ability to complete bio-psycho-social histories, mental health status exams, risk assessments and plans of care.
- Good clinical instincts and ability to recognize when risk assessments and also consultations are needed.
- Must have working knowledge on computer programs and be able to learn user friendly electronic medical record software.
- Must be able to perform telehealth services and any online training.
- Familiar with mental health screening tools i.e. GAD-7, PHQ-9.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Comfortable conducting group/family therapy as needed.
- Ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists and administrative staff.
- One year of direct service experience with individuals with severe mental illness in an inpatient or outpatient setting is preferred.
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: Beginning at $100,000.00 per year for a minimum of 32 sessions a week
Schedule: 6 - 8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday
