Facility: Wellstar MCG Health, Inc.
Skills: Comfortable taking care of patients of all ages including birth to geriatric in all settings including ambulatory, inpatient, ER, critical care/ICU, and home-based settings. Must be able to care for patients short-term longitudinally and episodic care including emergency department and/or critical care consults. Must feel comfortable managing a multidisciplinary team daily. Must feel comfortable managing patients through telehealth/telecommunications/digital means.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Management of a multidisciplinary team including APPs, Nurses, Paramedics, CMAs, and Pharmacy by providing virtual care/telehealth to patients in settings including in-home, ambulatory, inpatient, and ER.
- Coordinate care with specialists across the health system.
- Serve as a specialist consultant to patients in ERs, Inpatients, and Critical Care settings.
- Management and arrangement of transfers as clinically indicated.
- Liaison with provider staff and administrative staff at Wellstar Health System and non-Wellstar Health System hospitals.
- Coordination with community-based providers for patient care plan.
- Systems-based management stewardship and integration of alternative sites of care models.
Experience: MD/DO, Experience in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care preferred. Specific specialty and/or board certification not required, must have willingness to see a wide variety of patients in a wide variety of settings including ER, Inpatient, Obstetrics, and Home-Based settings.
Shift: Expected 12-hour shifts with day, night, and weekend coverage including holidays.
