Summary: Serves as an integral part of the external relations team at the designated facility to provide strategic and proactive leadership for the hospital’s partners from local, regional, and national corporations.
Responsibilities:
- Establishes and grows relationships with corporations, community and civic organizations, major gift donors and prospects that align with the strategic plan.
- Oversees staff relations including skill development, performance management and mandatory requirements.
- Represents the designated facility in the community at events and meetings as a recognized leader.
- Translates strategic plans into specific short- and long-term objectives; defines metrics and accountabilities for use in written proposals and agreements.
- Conducts prospecting research to discover new corporate leads, including qualifying and cultivation of those leads.
- Leads initiatives that build and execute brand, strengthen marketing and communications, foster strategic partnerships, and expand relationships with community partners, industry leaders, other influencers, and stakeholders.
- Leads and participates in the coordination of hospital-based events and donor visits/tours.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to promote strategic goals and initiatives.
- Provides strategy, development and leadership for External Relations; Community Relations; Corporate Partners; Marketing; Foundation; Donor Relations; and various events (community-based, donors, hospital/MHS, etc.)

Required Work Experience: Seven (7) years of leadership experience with increasing responsibility in roles related to external relations, fundraising and community relations. Experience in developing a strategic development plan for soliciting and securing gifts from corporations. Experience in establishing strategies for identifying, qualifying, and cultivating prospective donors. Experience in developing and presenting gift proposals to prospective donors. Proven and measurable record of successful face-to-face interactions with prospective donors.
