Job Overview
The Clinical Resource Surgical Technologist (Lead Surgical Tech) helps manage all aspects of their services and the delivery of care to patients. The Clinical Resource Surgical Technologist works under the supervision of the RN in delivering safe and effective care to the patient. The Clinical Resource Surgical Technologist has the responsibility and authority to request and use governing and administrative resources, technological and support systems, and multidisciplinary clinical experts necessary to manage and deliver quality, cost-effective patient care. Proficient as a Surgical Technologist, functions as an expert with a specific surgical focus encompassing all aspects of patient/family care, including the availability and appropriateness of equipment, standards, and competencies.
Minimum Requirements
- Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician School or Program, including education in the developmental needs of adolescent through geriatric patient. CST Required.
- Work Experience: 2 years experience in an acute care hospital setting as a Surgical Technician.
- Other requirements will depend on type of unit specialties and/or current needs of the unit with a minimum of two years in specialty.
- Must possess demonstrated excellence in financial and computer skills and analytical skills necessary to gather and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
