Description:
Develop and implement a training and competency assessment program in Ultrasound. Provides department orientation, training, and initial assessment for new hires and re-hires. Works with technologists and supervisors to develop employee skills through one-on-one site specific training and/or through clinical rotations. Provides clinical and technical resources to staff and students for career development purposes. Works with each site and radiologists to standardize protocols and minimize radiation exposure. Performs Ultrasound exams on all applicable age groups. Ensures customer satisfaction and appropriateness of care for all age groups.
Estimated pay range for this position is $37.79 - $49.13 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Degrees: High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, GED, or equivalent training/experience required.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Graduate of an approved AMA Council on Education Program in Ultrasound Technology or Radiologic Technology.
Acute Care setting preferred and Active ARDMS Certification in at least 3 specialties, 2 of which must be related to department clinical needs.
Minimum Required Experience: 5 years
