The SENIOR SPECIALIST, CYBER SECURITY OPERATIONS is a key member of KINDRED AT HOME’S CYBER SECURITY OPERATIONS TEAM and responsible for the operational management and performance of the enterprise security infrastructure. The Senior Specialist, Cyber Security Operations is also responsible for the maintenance of technical design and process documentation.
This position requires a strategic thinker with strong collaboration skills, detailed working knowledge of security technologies, and familiarity in managing security solutions for a regulated business environment. The Senior Specialist, Cyber Security Operations must be highly knowledgeable about the technical infrastructure environment and must ensure that information systems are proactively maintained in a fully functional, secure mode.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
- Manage the Cyber Security Operations Center responsible for monitoring and responding to cyber and information security incidents.
- Manage the Cyber Security Incident Response process and assist with disciplinary and legal matters resulting from security investigations.
- Manage the Threat & Vulnerability Management Program including identifying, assessing, and driving remediation of security vulnerabilities.
- Manage Cyber Security Operations initiatives with the ability to work independently.
- Proactively monitor threat intelligence as it pertains to the Company brand, technology and operations, and provide timely reporting based on gathered information.
- Manage the full lifecycle of a diverse security infrastructure including firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure web gateways, endpoint security, vulnerability scanners, SIEM and DLP.
- Provide consultation to business and IT partners for security remediation activities.
- Maintain documentation as it relates to security designs/configurations and operational processes.
- Collaborate with department leaders and technical teams to assess near- and long-term security needs.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with key vendors to ensure that service levels are understood and met.
- Mentor junior members of the Information Security team.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline.
- CISSP certification desired.
- Experience managing security technologies, processes and procedures for a similar size company.
- Firewall management, endpoint security, and threat analysis.
- Minimum 5 years experience in information security - hands-on experience.
- Proven experience in security operational functions.
- Proven experience with information security best practices.
- Proven project management and organizational skills, specifically managing multiple, concurrent projects.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed professional, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong customer service and solution-focused orientation.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
