Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist in our Nuclear Medicine Department at Baptist South, located in Jacksonville, FL. A Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for providing patients with radioactive medication and operating imaging technology to track the radiation within the patient’s body. Their duties include sterilizing syringes, preparing patients for a scan and processing image reports that indicate the presence of disease. This is a Full-Time opportunity.
This Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for the following:
- Performing high quality diagnostic procedures.
- Supervises the Nuclear Imaging area to assure efficient, effective operations and financial viability.
- Knowledge of State of (and adherence to) Florida rules and regulations in regard to Radiation Control/Radioactive Materials.
- Protecting patients, self, others from unnecessary/excessive radiation exposure.
- Complying with mandatory education and health requirements.

- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
- Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine ARRT (N) Required
- Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT) Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
- Licensed Nuclear Medical Technologist Required
Experience:
- 3-5 Years Nuclear Med Tech Experience
- 1-2 years Department Experience
- 1-2 years Experience working in a hospital setting
- 1-2 years Leadership Experience
- 1-2 years Customer Service Experience
- 1-2 years Knowledge of State and Federal regulations
- Radioactive Material Experience
- Management Experience
