We are looking for a highly experienced Nursing Supervisor to join our team at a Critical Access facility in Windsor, VT. This role requires a seasoned leader who can oversee nursing staff, ensure the highest standards of patient care, and maintain regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, especially in emergency care, and demonstrate exceptional leadership in managing teams and patient care operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise nursing staff in daily operations, ensuring quality care and patient safety.
- Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care plans.
- Oversee medical procedures, including IV infusions and patient monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including medical-surgical and ICU units.
- Provide mentorship and training to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical best practices.
- Oversee patient care in memory care units and other specialized settings as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with protocols for medical imaging, neonatal ventilators, and dialysis procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent inpatient experience.
- Current supervisory experience within the last 6 months.
- Experience working in a Critical Access facility.
- Cerner EMR experience required.
- Strong clinical expertise in emergency care (ER), medical-surgical, and ICU settings.
- Proficient in medical documentation and familiar with electronic health records (EHR).
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
