Job Description:
As a Chemical Lab Technician, you will maintain the balance of the chemistry in the chemical tanks to ensure the production of quality parts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine analysis on all chemical baths for plating line, cleaning line and waste treatment.
- Perform a variety of tests on the tanks on the plating and cleaning lines with several tests per tank.
- Keep chemical maintenance software updated.
- Keep all lab documents and lab performance in compliance with all plant standards.
- Maintain chemical inventory for plating lab.
- Responsible for following all environmental policies, procedures, work instructions and requirements applicable to his or her work.
- Comply with all laboratory and manufacturing facility safety policies and practices.
- Responsible for immediately reporting to management all environmental concerns related to work being carried out, as well as, all incidents, which present a hazard to people, production, or the environment.
- Complete data sheets for chemical processes such as cleaning and electroplating.
- Prepare data charts to document process control statistics.
- Assist with chemical additions.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent as a minimum to 1 year of working with chemicals, preferred.
- Good vision (natural or corrected), excellent hand dexterity in both hands.
- Ability to perform in a sitting position for long periods of time.
- Ability to work with washing solutions, multiplex flux, solvents, inks and paints and to perform in an environment where such chemical solutions are constantly being used.
- At times you will be required to lift up to 15 Lbs.
- Repeated standing, walking, and bending are required.
- Ability to perform in a production environment with unusual conditions such as high-volume noise level and dust.
- Available to work overtime if necessary, including weekends.
- Attend training sessions as required to meet standards of job-related activities relating to all HSC applications.
- Participate in cross-training efforts interfacing with other departments to acquire additional skills and knowledge for advancement.
- Ability to work in a production environment with unusual conditions with constant changes in temperature, wetness, different levels of noise, fumes, irritants, and gases from chemicals.
- Ability to perform assigned duties with little supervision.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:
- Ability to use and calibrate all lab instruments.
- Ability to assess concentrations in tanks and mathematically determine appropriate additions and enter them into the computer.
- Ability to use troubleshooting skills, be able to perform requested test on short notice.
- Ability to check chemicals for proper specifications on the C of A’s for compliance.
- Ability to read and understand SDS.
- Knowledge of data entry, Word and Excel. Ability to run hull cells. Attend training as required by the management.

Compensation
Salary Minimum: $50,000
Salary Maximum: $60,000
