Position Summary:
A pharmacy technician may perform packaging, manipulative, repetitive, compounding, or other nondiscretionary tasks, only while assisting, and while under the direct supervision and control of a pharmacist. The pharmacist shall be responsible for the duties performed under their supervision by a technician. Additionally, ensures compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Knowledge necessary to obtain Pharmacy Technician licensure in the state of California and current CA Pharmacy Technician Licensure. Minimum Experience: Experience in I.V. admixtures, unit dose drug distribution and computer entry preferred.
Preferred: Typing skills of 30 WPM; good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
