Team / division overview The Real Estate division of DWS is a full-service Real Estate manager with approximately EUR 60 billion AUM globally. DWS Real Estate acquires and manages investments in individual assets or Real Estate portfolios on behalf of funds and separate accounts.
The US Real Estate franchise is responsible for the origination, acquisition, asset management and disposition of Real Estate assets across the US for both Debt and Equity strategies. The team works on diverse tasks across various Real Estate asset classes such as office, industrial, retail, logistics, hotels and residential schemes.
Role Details As an Origination Officer for Real Estate Debt, you will be responsible for:
- Leveraging personal networks as well as broader DWS capabilities to support the origination, structuring, credit processing, execution and on-going management of Real Estate financing deals
- Lead underwriting analysis of Real Estate debt transactions and preparation of credit proposals with particular focus on detailed financial analysis and cash flow projections, cash flow models and sensitivities
- Actively participate and manage transaction processes from modelling, drafting term sheets, credit preparation, through to execution, documentation and funding
- Coordinating and training junior team members in all aspects of structuring/execution, from financial modelling to credit preparation and documentation
- Managing execution processes with key internal and external parties, such as legal counsel and due diligence providers
- Supporting senior management in maintaining financial sponsor client and advisor relationships through effective communication
- Ensuring regulatory compliance by staying updated on relevant regulations and ensuring compliance with internal and external guidelines
We are looking for
: - A strong background in Real Estate Financing origination, with proven technical analysis skills and experience of conducting due diligence and financial modelling
- Proven knowledge and experience engaging and negotiating with borrowers to originate and structure credit investments
- Solid experience across private Real Estate Debt investment management gained from a credit fund, commercial or investment bank, hedge fund or mezzanine fund
- Proven underwriting skills including the use of Argus and extensive Excel modelling
- Well-organized and detail-oriented individual with the highest degree of integrity, motivation, and intellectual curiosity
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while delivering quality work product
- Experience of producing credit investment proposals and supporting documentation for Investment Committees
- Educated to degree level in a Finance related discipline from an accredited college or university (or equivalent) or an acceptable level of industry experience

The salary range for this position in New York City is $159,000 - $256,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
