Position: Wastewater Treatment Plant Process Analyst

Salary:
$33.63-$37.36/hr. Range 10 with Group II WWTPO Cert
$35.86-$39.85/hr. Range 13 with Group III WWTPO Cert
$38.11-$42.34/hr. Range 15 with Group IV WWTPO Cert
General Function: Under general supervision of the Wastewater Operations Manager, prepares and analyzes wastewater, sludge, biosolids, and effluent samples to provide process control data for the efficient and effective operation of the City of Centralia’s Class IV wastewater treatment plant. Conducts daily laboratory testing, analyses, and reporting for process control and regulated reporting. Generates process control and regulatory compliance reports.
Education and Experience: Associate Degree in Biology, Chemistry or Lab Sciences and two years full-time experience in a wastewater testing lab, or appropriate combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word required.
Must possess an applicable Group II Washington Wastewater Treatment Operator (WWTPO) Certification or have the ability to obtain it within one year of employment, and any other certification required by state regulation. WWTPO Group III or higher certification preferred.
Valid Washington State driver’s license is required with acceptable driving record.
