Job Summary:
The Department of Plant and Soil Sciences in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment works towards developing sustainable food and crop production practices in Kentucky. The position of
Soil Microbiology Research Analys t will be stationed on the main UK campus in Lexington, KY. This position will be responsible for a variety of lab management duties, including purchasing, scheduling and maintenance of equipment, training of students, and maintaining compliance with environmental health and safety requirements. The position will also be responsible for research tasks such as soil sample processing, microbial physiological analyses, and molecular analysis of soil microbial communities.
