Job Description
Summary: Maintain and manage accounting and compliance functions of Adams Fertilizer Equipment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversee and support accounting operations, such as payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements for CFO review.
- Prepare monthly Board and Bank reporting packages.
- Manage the production of annual budgets and develop processes to track performance against stated budgets.
- Develop a system of management reports.
- Coordinate with external auditors and accountants.
- Ensure Adams’ compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience:
- Five or more years of accounting experience.
- Ability to lead and create an environment of trust and productivity.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting software.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
