The Innovation and Development Division (IDD) drives the innovation strategy for the Hubs and Operations, and contributes to the Group's transformation. It is responsible for imagining, developing and incubating new solutions until they are brought to market, particularly when it comes to offers with a high technological content (including digital and IT). IDD gathers more than 3,000 employees from 70 nationalities at 60 sites.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Reporting to the Director, Investments, you are responsible for managing the strategic planning process and the investment decision for Air Liquide North America Cluster.
Investment decisions (C-PR, RIC):
- Interact with the President, VPs and other senior leaders.
- Manage the investment decision process and its investment committees (>1B EUR portfolio, some exceptional projects >500M EUR).
- Influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization including senior management.
- Support the business units in the development of projects and the preparation of the documents and financial analysis for the investment committees.
- Review project notes and canonicals submitted for C-PR to ensure alignment with accounting, financial and golden rules of the group.
- Ensure compliance with Blue Book for investment decisions.
- Responsible for training internal customers on capital topics.
- Engage with the Group Investments team as needed to make sure the Cluster and Group are aligned.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Manage, forecast & control Depreciation and Amortization (D&A) across North American businesses.
- Responsible for reporting of the project start-ups/ramp-ups across North America.
- Provide detailed financial analysis of various topics on an ad-hoc basis.
- Develop monthly capital reporting to keep management informed of financial status and facilitate decision-making.
Information requests and special projects:
- Responds to information requests from various Senior Leaders.
- Sponsor the implementation of miscellaneous special projects.
- Ability to work effectively within a dynamic team; influence management and collaborate with others (Accounting, Business Development, Capital Implementation, Operations).
- Drive improvement initiatives to deliver a more efficient and reliable capital management process.
Are you a MATCH?
- Bachelor in Commerce/Administration (finance, accounting, CPA) or another Bachelor degree with relevant experience in financial analysis required. MBA/MSC Preferred.
- Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate dedication to uncompromising accuracy in data management; attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to lead multiple initiatives while maintaining focus on monthly deliverables.
- Ability to function in a team environment with extensive flexibility and limited direct supervision; ambitious, engaged individuals will be successful in this role.
- Works safely; aligns with AL policies and procedures.
