The Associate Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. Establishes metrics, provides data analyses, and works directly to support business intelligence. Evaluates industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive position.
This position is in the Home organization at Humana. This Associate Actuary role provides an opportunity to work in a new, growing area of a Fortune 50 company at the frontier of healthcare. The role provides a non-traditional Medicare Advantage opportunity outside of bid season. They will partner closely with Financial leadership to develop new forecast models for this area’s home health and skilled nursing facility (SNF) initiatives.
Typical responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Developing and maintaining models to be used in pricing, budgets, forecasting, and program valuation.
- Owning underlying assumptions and explaining the impact of actual to expected results on financial performance.
- Leading discussions with senior leadership regarding assumptions and identifying key risks and areas of opportunities.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.
- 2 years minimum in the actuarial field (any specialty).
Preferred Qualifications
- Established communication skills with non-actuarial business partners.
- Experience with large data sets and SAS/SQL experience.
- Medicare/MA Experience.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $104,800 - $144,300 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
