You will be part of the Bawal operations Team.
Role
We are looking for a highly skilled professional to join our Bawal operations team as a Cost Engineering Expert. The successful candidate will provide crucial costing support to the sourcing team, optimize material costs through cost reduction initiatives, and effective supplier agreement management & contracts. Should be a Techno-commercial expert with non-Proprietary, focusing mainly on fabrication parts, rubber, electrical harness parts, and others.
Your Responsibilities
- Cost Analysis and Management: Conduct detailed cost analysis of supply chain operations including procurement, production, transportation, and warehousing. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize costs. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain costs.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as supply disruptions, price fluctuations, or quality issues. Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure continuity of supply.
- Supplier Management: Evaluate supplier cost structures and negotiate pricing agreements. Collaborate with suppliers to identify and implement cost reduction initiatives. Assess and mitigate risks related to supplier pricing and contracts.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the supply chain and recommend process improvements. Implement best practices in supply chain cost management. Use data analysis tools and techniques to drive continuous improvement.
- Costing Models and Analysis: Develop costing models to accurately estimate the total cost of ownership for materials and components. Conduct cost-benefit analyses for sourcing decisions and investment proposals.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies related to procurement, sourcing, and ethical sourcing practices. Monitor supplier compliance and conduct audits as necessary.
What You Bring
- Strong techno-commercial experience for successful supplier agreements.
- Strategic thinking on cost reduction and risk management.
- Good communication skills both written & spoken to deal with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams based in India and overseas.
- A team player with matrix organization experience.
- Willing to relocate to Bawal, Haryana facility.
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s Engineering degree from a reputed University, specializing in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automobile, or Electrical.
Experience
10 - 15 years of experience in costing/purchasing within the Heavy Engineering industry, experience with low volume industrial equipment manufacturing, preferably from an OEM.
