Description
SAIC is seeking aSpecial Projects Senior Analyst who plays a crucial role in providing advanced management and operational support to senior leadership within OUSD(R&E). This position demands a proactive approach to developing and maintaining work products that enhance management decision-making, strategy development, and the execution of initiatives and special projects. The role requires exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across all levels of government personnel, from action officers to senior leaders. This position is fully onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project and Initiative Management:
- Lead the planning and management of special projects and initiatives, developing essential planning artifacts such as statements of work, charters, schedules, and Gantt charts.
- Facilitate integrated project teams through meticulous meeting preparation, scheduling, execution, and follow-up.
- Decision Support and Business Case Analysis:
- Construct and document frameworks for simplifying complex issues into actionable strategies to aid decision-making across diverse work functions, including strategy formulation and technical, operational, and business process initiatives.
- Craft detailed business case analyses that effectively quantify costs, benefits, and risks associated with proposed actions.
- Meeting and Workshop Facilitation:
- Oversee the formulation of goals and objectives for meetings and workshops, plan and coordinate execution, and ensure that outcomes align with the strategic objectives of OUSD(R&E).
- Document and publish results, capturing critical actions, decisions, and agreements.
- Process Design and Continuous Improvement:
- Drive the development, implementation, and refinement of administrative and operational processes to enhance the effectiveness and productivity of the office.
- Implement performance metrics and tracking mechanisms to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Internal Controls and Advisory:
- Identify compliance requirements, develop roadmaps for necessary process and system modifications, and integrate these changes to optimize administrative and operational processes efficiently.
- Multi-tasking and Prioritization:
- Manage multiple, concurrent projects and tasks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and timely work products.
- Assess and prioritize urgent assignments to determine optimal courses of action and manage to timely conclusions.
Qualifications
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Technical Discipline, or related field from an accredited college or university and at least ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- Advanced program management education or certification preferred.
- In lieu of a formal degree, a minimum of four (4) years of specialized experience, including military experience, may be substituted.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in project management, operational management, strategy development, and planning within a DoD staff environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across functional disciplines and at senior levels of government.
Clearance Requirements:
- Top Secret clearance required; ability to obtain and maintain SCI.
- US Citizenship.
