We are seeking a highly energized, detail oriented and organized individual with a positive attitude who will thrive in our professional office environment serving as a Bookkeeping Associate for our Tax Planning, Preparation and Bookkeeping business unit. The Bookkeeping Associate will work directly with clients on all of their bookkeeping matters.

Responsibilities & Activities
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding/classifications
Classifies, records, and summarizes numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, journals and ledgers for our clients
Accounts payable and accounts receivable functions when applicable
Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
Answers, troubleshoots, and problem-solve incoming telephone, voicemail, e-mail, and occasional in-person requests for assistance from the firm’s existing clients, new or prospective bookkeeping clients, staff, and other entities.
Ensures all client interactions and relationships are successful and that we provide and maintain exceptional client care and service.
Informing prospects/clients of firm processes
Timely and accurately schedule appointments when necessary.
Clerical functions such as entering info into databases and spreadsheets, filing, faxing, scanning, copying, and mailing documents.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Proficiency in using various Bookkeeping software packages such as QuickBooks (online and desktop), Xero, etc
Excellent attention to detail
Self-motivated and organized.
Team-oriented, flexible, and dependable
Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and client service skills.
A positive and professional attitude
Multi-tasking ability
Education/Experience
Associates or Bachelors College degree preferred.
Bookkeeping experience is required.
QuickBooks experience is required
Excel is required
This is an in-person part-time position.
