We have just opened an opportunity for a Financial Analyst on our Corporate Treasury Investments team based in our downtown Salt Lake City offices. This person will participate in a broad variety of functions in Zions’ Treasury Department related to Zions’ securities portfolio with primary focus on valuation, reporting, and stress testing the portfolio. The investment decisions and trade executions are outside of the scope of this position. Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to:
- Perform attribution analysis for period over period reports.
- Perform SOX controls.
- Document reporting processes in the form of procedures, methodology, etc.
- Provide support to accounting and finance groups across the organization.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and analytical aptitude.
- Develop and improve processes related to management reporting.
- Handle various sizes of data in populating reporting tools and verifying quality assurance.
- Learn new systems when applicable.
- Remain flexible and take on other duties as needed.
What you need to bring to the table:
- Requires a Bachelor's in accounting, finance or related field and experience in accounting, financial analysis, or other directly related experience.
- Significant experience with Excel, including VBA macros.
- In-depth understanding of the securities’ valuation principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Flexibility in job functions.
- The ability to work under time sensitive deadlines.
- Prior experiences (academic or professional) to display appropriate business, financial, and quantitative acumen.
- Past experience in a finance-related field is preferred.
