Senior Specialist, Financial Planning and Analysis: Global Capital Planning and Reporting
A role within the Global Capital Planning and Reporting (GCPR) organization is a unique opportunity to gain exposure and contribute to the decisions that shape the enterprise for years to come. Finance is a trusted business partner, playing a critical role in ensuring effective resource utilization, specifically to ensure our Company is spending the right amount on the right projects at the right time.
Within Capital Planning and Reporting, the candidate in this role will support Our Company's Research Laboratories division, influenced IT and the Global Workplace and Enterprise Services (GWES) organization as the Investment Manager (IM) Planner, a role in SAP which includes validation of documentation, approvers, and distribution of project budgets, assurance of timely project closure and review of those related business cases from a strategic and governance compliance standpoint. In addition, the role will support the CAPPLAN BPC Administrator with maintenance of Master Data and Transactional Data in the system.
The role will also require project work on a situational basis.
In this role, a candidate should expect to:
- Gain end-to-end exposure to our Company's capital governance process
- Gain extensive knowledge of our Company's Capital module of the Business, Planning and Consolidations (BPC) system
- Visibility and appreciation for the context of our Company's enterprise investments
- Learn the qualities that make for an effective business case presented at the executive level
- Increase his/her network through engagement with finance professionals across the divisions
- Develop a process improvement mindset to drive efficiencies within the organization
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
- Bachelors in Business, Finance, Science or Engineering
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of operations or Finance experience
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- MBA or other finance background preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to develop business operations models
- Strong financial acumen
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Results and process-driven orientation
- Customer support orientation
- Demonstrated experience in supporting large organization change initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a challenging and complex environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, build and maintain diverse client and peer relationships
- Sound and balanced judgment, with the ability to assess and handle risk
- Excellent communications skills
- Strong computer skills especially working with SAP, BPC and MS Excel. Visualization software skills preferred

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.
The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected US salary range: $101,100.00 - $159,100.00
Available benefits include bonus eligibility, long term incentive if applicable, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
