Overview
This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations: AZ, FL, ND.
As Senior First Line Risk Analyst, you will be a member of the Enterprise Technology & Operations Business Risk & Controls organization. This position is responsible for supporting the risk management function by analyzing and managing risks through program oversight, root cause analysis, and issues management. This role requires a deep understanding of risk-related trends, strong communication skills, and the ability to provide insights to leadership through data visualizations and reports. The ideal candidate will have experience in medium to large financial institutions, with a proven background in risk analysis, quality monitoring, program management, and process documentation.
Responsibilities
- Development of governance and oversight for risk-related programs.
- Analyze large datasets to identify themes, trends, and emerging risks, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Create clear and concise communications, including data visualizations, to inform leadership of key deliverables, milestones, and project statuses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and solve risk-related problem statements.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified issues and enhance risk management processes.
- Document processes and procedures related to risk management, ensuring clear, consistent, and detailed documentation for reference and compliance purposes.
- Ensure quality monitoring is performed in alignment with the organization’s risk management framework and goals.
- Stay up to date on regulatory requirements, risk management best practices, and industry trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Risk management, or financial analysis, or statistical modeling.
OR
High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Risk management, or financial analysis, or statistical modeling.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience in risk management, issues management, or quality assurance functions at a medium to large financial institution.
- Proven experience in program management with strong organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
- Expertise in root cause analysis, with experience in documenting problem statements and developing solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to document processes and procedures in a clear and comprehensive manner.
- Proficiency in creating reports and presentations, including data visualizations, for senior leadership.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across departments and influence decision-making.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with risk management software and tools preferred.
