The Cook 3 is a culinary position that requires intermediate culinary skills or related cooking experience and good communication skills. This is typically a production position that requires total supervision and training.
Basic Job Duties and Expectations:
- Ability to prepare food according to recipe specifications and food preparation technique, in a timely and consistent manner.
- Make adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns.
- Deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multitasking.
- Determine food and supply needs based on menus.
- Inspect food products and supplies as needed.
- Control and minimize waste.
- Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintain temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required; and maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, including mopping, disinfecting the workspace, washing, and sanitizing all utensils and dishes. Dishwashing/pot washing as needed.

Qualifications
3 years of previous line experience preferred.
Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred.
Candidates should be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills.
Able to work multiple stations in the kitchen.
Requires moderate supervision and training.
