Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Surgery is Hiring a Hospital Charge Auditor I to work Full-time, Days.
(Must have at least one year of Billing and Medical Terminology Experience, preferably in a hospital environment).
This is a Remote position, working Full-time, Day Shift Hours from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., No Weekends, No Holidays!
A Hospital Charge Auditor I provides system-wide support for designated clinical Department(s) charge audit and billing functions. Audits billing records with a high degree of accuracy and comprehensive knowledge of charges, patient types and billing systems. Engages in communications and processes designed to resolve inaccuracies with efficiency and thorough follow-through to meet the System goals of accurate billing and claims processing.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- One Year Billing experience required.
- One Year Medical Terminology experience required.
- Post-high school healthcare training preferred.
- Billing experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
