Genetic Counselor - Cancer Service Line - Days
As a cancer genetic counselor, you will work collaboratively with a team of medical geneticists, oncologists, surgeons, nursing professionals and ancillary staff to provide comprehensive and individualized care for our oncology patients. Utilizing the latest methods in genetics testing, you will educate patients with and without cancer about their cancer risks, and empower them to make educated, informed decisions about genetic testing, screening, prevention and treatment. You will have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials and develop educational programs for providers as well as the local community. As a member of our cancer center team, you will discover what sets us apart - caring through innovation.
This is a full-time day shift position located at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Preferred Criteria:
- Board Eligibility or Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or American Board of Medical Genetics
- 2-3 years of experience in a related field preferred; new graduates with Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling welcome to apply
Required Criteria:
- Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling/Human Genetics from a program accredited by the American Board of Genetic Counseling
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
Salary Range:
$93,500-$104,000/Annual
