Position Title (Business Title): Senior Director, Identity and Access, Collaboration and Digital Workplace Services
Business/Functional Unit: I&T
Position Purpose: Provide an overview of the responsibilities of the position by providing a summary of the most important aspects and duties of the position.
The Head of Identity and Access, Collaboration and Digital Workplace Services is responsible for driving digital transformation through the development and implementation of digital workplace solutions that enhance collaboration, productivity, and identity and access governance across the organization.
This role oversees the entire lifecycle of identity & access management including identity trust and governance in a cloud-enabled ecosystem, and optimization of end-user device management to increase collaboration and productivity across the enterprise. Key areas of responsibility include Identity & Access Management, Identity Governance, Privileged Access Management, Active Directory Services, End User device configuration & management, and stewardship of the Microsoft 365 environment while ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and standards, managing related risks and security threats, and enabling business agility and digital innovation.
This role will develop and drive the execution of innovative and secure solutions with an AI-enabled automated, and self-service driven strategy and related processes to enhance the productivity and user experience of the CSL workforce that aligns with the business objectives and digital transformation goals for CSL.
This position works collaboratively with peers, executive leaders, external partners, and other stakeholders to ensure effective identity governance across CSL.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to: Head of, Infrastructure & Operations, Service Management, Cybersecurity, Compliance and Risk, and CISO.
Direct reports: 4-5 mid to senior level independent contributors and senior leaders.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Strategy and Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for identity governance and administration, digital workplace and collaboration tools that aligns with CSL’s objectives, compliance requirements, and risk management goals. This includes defining architecture, policies, and related procedures while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish strategy, architecture, and processes for granting, modifying, and revoking user access to various systems, applications, and data resources. This involves overseeing user provisioning and deprovisioning, access requests, access reviews, and role-based access controls as needed to ensure quality.
- Provide operational oversight over the lifecycle of all user and privileged accounts and devices from provisioning to deletion. Define and enforce processes for managing the entire lifecycle of user identities and devices within the organization and broader ecosystem.
- Define and implement automated and AI enabled mechanisms to ensure timely and accurate user and device provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Leads a team of technical professionals who are responsible for executing the strategy and delivering services. Conceptualize and oversee the development of curriculums to upskill the team as needed as the company transforms its digital core and user-centric design aimed at developing full stack intelligence technical professionals.
- Educates and influences business and application owners and other stakeholders to accept, use, and communicate secure IGA practices.
- Manages project budgets, business cases, and operational budget for related projects and services.
- Innovation and User Experience: Explores, selects, and implements, and provides operational oversight of technology-based tools and methodologies to provide a strong IGA, collaboration and digital workplace programs.
- Lead responsible for program deliverables under the Seamless Access program that implements security, compliance technology to improve ease of access across enterprise services.
- Identifies and evaluates complex business, technology risks, and impact of current decisions related to user access, data access, and information security.
- Creates a strong AI enabled automation and self-service program for appropriate access processes that improve user experience.
- Supervises the development of related training materials and user manuals.
- Information Security and Compliance: Enables access log monitoring and reporting across IGA, collaboration and digital workplace technologies.
- Ensures all IGA, collaboration and digital workplace technology and processes meet CSL security and quality standards, including GxP validation and testing.
- Create and manage a strong access cyber hygiene program, including but not limited to SSO/multi-factor authentication, privileged access management and external collaboration access.
- Works closely with threat intelligence team to leverage identity analytics tools and technologies to monitor user activities, detect anomalies, and identify potential security threats or policy violations.
- Works closely with incident response team to respond, understand, and mitigate identity and access control related security incidents.
- Generate regular reports and metrics to assess the effectiveness of identity governance and collaboration controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Service Provider Management: Oversight of Managed Service Providers to ensure service level management (SLA) and Experience Level management (XLA) metrics are consistently met.
Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Education:
- Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Strategy/Transformation or a related field preferred. Related certifications, and advanced graduate studies desirable.
Experience:
- Broad understanding of identity governance, identity and access management, collaboration and digital workplace tools.
- 10+ years' managerial experience and/or demonstrated leadership experience.
- Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience preferred.
- 5+ years of supervisory/management experience. Experience in leading teams through transformational programs for cloud-enabled ecosystems preferred.
- Experience working with a managed service provider to support, maintain, and improve outsourced services, preferred.
- Technical Experience across domains preferable, however leadership and transformation in IT discipline can offset technical expertise.
- Experience managing and influencing peers, and business colleagues in implementing technology best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
